A pale topstitch outlines every layer, which is what keeps the pattern legible instead of blurring into one blue.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe upper blue is soft and greyed, the kind that behaves like a neutral: it sits with cream, sand, camel, chocolate and white as easily as black does, and it is far more interesting. Underneath, the construction is deliberately plain: a fine pointed toe, a natural leather sole with the tan edge left visible, and a barely-there stacked base.
